COLOURPOP WILL OPEN THE FIRST PHYSICAL STORE IN JULY
LOS ANGELES (April 15, 2019)— ColourPop is one of the most well-known and popular makeup brand in the United States in recent years. However, since it created in 2014, ColourPop only sell its products through online website. On April 15, John Nelson, one of the co-founders of ColourPop, finally announced that it will open its first physical store at Grove on July 8 in 2019.
ColourPop was born, raised and made with love in Los Angeles and founded in 2014 by Seed Beauty. Laura Nelson and her sibling John Nelson started ColourPop as an e-commerce business, then expanded to selling wholesale to retail stores as well. ColourPop is known for creating collaborative products with several YouTube and social media celebrities. Those youtubers and influencers recommend ColourPop makeup to their fans which help ColourPop accumulate positive reputation.
In addition, ColourPop gain a great public awareness and attract lots of fans among young groups because of its great products at affordable prices. many of their products range in price from $5-$20. Founder Laura Nelson told Fashionista in 2016, “It’s all about applying the fast fashion model to beauty.” Because ColourPop’s parent company, Seed Beauty, has everything under one roof — from venture capital to manufacturing — the brand is able to cut out the middleman, and make trendy new products instantly fast.
Although ColourPop makes partnership with Sephora and ULTA which people can buy some of ColourPop’s products in those stores. Many fans still feel a little bit pity that they cannot try every makeup product. On July 8, ColourPop will held an opening ceremony from 10 a.m. Co-founder Laura and John Nelson will do a short speech. Famous singer Ariana Grande and influencers Karrueche Tran, Zoella, and Strashme will attend this opening ceremony to share their story with ColourPop with the audience.
